Narrative

Patrolman Horan was killed instantly when he was thrown from his horse at the intersection of 30th and Walnut Streets and he suffered a broken neck. 

Patrolmen Horan and Avery were on their way to their post at 28th and Chestnut Streets when the accident occurred. 

He is survived by his wife and four (4) sons. He had been with the agency for seven (7) years.
