Narrative

Patrolman Giltner was shot and killed as he walked his foot post, unarmed, near 7th Street and Broadway.

He was shot while trying to arrest two (2) men at 2 am  in front of a garage.

A suspect was arrested but later acquitted at trial.

Patrolman Giltner served with the Louisville Police Department for one (1) year. He is survived by his wife, five (5) daughters, three (3) sons, brother, and sister.
